RushCard Review

RushCard (UniRush, LLC) is a provider of prepaid debit cards in the United States. The company was founded in 2003 and has its headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. UniRush, LLC is acquired by Green Dot Corp. and is now their subsidiary.

RushCard offers free phone support to subscribers, does not charge any activation fees, but you have to pay a one time fee to buy the card. After that, you can choose a plan that pays monthly fees or chooses pay-as-you-go that charges every time you make a transaction.

Just like a prepaid debit card, you can manage your account online. You will be charged such as withdrawal fee at ATM, check the balance on ATm and transfer from card to card.

In addition to free subscriber phone service for all customers, RushCard has a comprehensive FAQ section and cost chart on its website that explains all the things you may owe. They also offer an automated voice response telephone service as well as customer support via email, fax, and standard mail.

Their disadvantages, among others, are that massive outages have tarnished the proper names of companies by 2015 and by 2017 the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau fined them. Also, users can not avoid the cost.

When looking for a prepaid debit card, RushCard is worth seeing. The pricing plans are somewhat different in their structure than other cards, but you get customer support, free text and email, and mobile apps so you can keep track of your balance and transactions.
